The
Ski Resort " Cerro Castor ", is located underneath 54
º south parallel, in the south of the Argnetinian Patagonia in Tierra
del Fuego Province and only 26Km away from Ushuaia, Capital City
of this province. We drive to the resort through the National Route
#3. Approximately 3.200 km is the distance between Buenos Aires
and the resort. Buenos Aires is the birth place of this route. Is very easy to travel to our province. Driving through the National Route #3 is one option. If you don't like to drive for long distances, there are some airline companies that offer daily flights from Buenos Aires to Ushuaia, also there are some international flights that can be used or may be if you like to sail, cruises can be another option. As a lot of diferrent kind of vessels reach our port during our southern summer. |

The Slopes |

At
this moment the resort has 15 slopes in optimal conditions to ski
and for snowboard lovers They are classified in different levels: Difficult : El Cóndor – El Zorro Normal : Piedra Negra – Las Rocas - La Brecha – El Risco Easy : Camino del Bosque – La Lenga – El Aguila - Los Ñires Very Easy: Los Castores – Los Kaikenes – Senda Guanaco – La Avutarda – Carpintero All the slopes are 40 meters wide, except for the intercommunication ways, and the works made as well as the maintenance of the same ones allow us to say that with not to much snow, about 20 cm approximately, the slopes are ready for the practice of this exciting winter sport. |
