Departure from the hotel to the Tierra Mayor valley. ( distance

From the Nunatak refuge the long walk begins, we will cross peat
bogs, Lengas and cohiues of hundreds of years ( very old trees ).
The possibility of see foxes, condors and beavers is always present.
We are in the heart of the Natural Reserve Tierra del Fuego, at
the Laguna Perdida, the color of its waters and its geographic location
in the middle of the fuegian mountain range invites us to stop,
to rest and to eat lunch by the lagoon. Finally we start the way
back to the refuge and to the hotel. |

It includes the itinerary of the Laguna Perdida Trekking, adding
the penetration towards the main affluent of the Laguna Perdida,
that has its origin in the Albino Eye Glacier.
We arrived at the glacier and great view of mountain and ice will
surprise us. We put ours crampons on and initiate the exploration
of the glacier, arriving at the Beban panoramic point to have lunch,
continuing the tour, with stopping in panoramic points of impressive
beauty.
Return to the Nunatak refuge and later return to the Hotel. |

Departure from the towards the Nunatak refuge, after preparing the
equipment we start the climbing of the mount, the highest of the
mountain range that takes its name, Alvear.
We are in the middle of the range, snow, rock and ice are part of
landscape. A stop for lunch and to recover energy get us ready to
continue to the final area, after putting on the crampones we start
moving. The top of the mount will delight us with the majesty of
the landscape, views of Beagle Channel, Fagnano Lakes, Yehuin and
Chepelmut and the mountain range Darwin in Chile. The condors will
be the only witnesses of our trip. We returned later to the refuge
and to the Hotel. |

In the middle of the heart of the Natural reserve Tierra del Fuego
and in the same front of the Alvear mountain range the Nunatak refuge
is our departing point for the walking tour.
The nature will be opened in front of us and we'll get in the Alvear
mountain range, reaching the panoramic points of singular beauty.
After the lunch in the mountain we start the return to the refuge
and later return to the hotel. |

Our excursion begins with the transfer to the National Park Tierra
del Fuego. There, a walking tour start through narrow path by the
coast and some low hills, discovering how two different ecosystems
coexists as the maritim coast and the Patagonian Andean forest do.
This long walk will allow us to know the flora and fauna and to
discover the magic that their coasts keep, inhabited in the past
by canoeist indians. |

It
includes lunch box, basic equipment.
Our excursion begins with the transfer from the city, crossing beautiful
valleys of Tierra del Fuego, we will cross glacial valleys covered
by peat bogs and will stop at the most important. In this zone the
winter sport activity is concentrated, becoming the large peat bogs
the best areas in the world to practice Nordic ski ( cross-country
). Arriving to Garibaldi Pass (420 mts over the sea level ) we will
start the real adventure. After receiving our trekking equipment
we will initiate our long walk by the Garibaldi Pass adjacent valley.
We will observe beaver dams, peat bogs and all the moleta flora
and fauna of the mountain. Once at the top we will have an unique
view of the Fagnano and Escondido lakes, sorrounded by this landscape
we will prepare ourselves to take our refreshment. Continuing our
tour we will arrive to the ideal place for lunch.
Our way back wil be done throuigh a narrow path that will allow
us to wacth the beavers's work. |

naturalist guide.
Another very active option to discover the National Park Tierra
del Fuego is to do it walking. Participating in this full day tour
learning about conjunction of two ecosystems, the marine coast and
the subAntarctic forest, unique landscape in Argentina. We'll will
walk by different footpaths bordering the Beagle Channel crossing
the native forests, that constitute an important reserve of native
flora and fauna. So, if you are looking for nature in a reduced
group and with customized assistance of a specialized guide, you
must enjoy unique experience cannot be lost.
The excursion begins with a transfer to the National Park. After
a long walk throughout the coast, we stop to have a refreshmentor
or refrigerio and after noon we rest and have lunch in some place
with a nice view.
Lapataia bay, a wonderful landscape and the end of the National
route #3 is included on the itinerary. |
