Full-day excursion to Torres del Paine National Park (Chile), considered one of the eighth wonders of the world. Located in the heart of Southern Patagonia, 300 km south of El Calafate, it is one of the most beautiful parks in the world due to its curious and unique composition of mountains, glaciers, lakes, waterfalls, flora, and fauna.
Taking Route 11 to La Esperanza, we will arrive at the Cancha Carrera border crossing (approximately 3.30 hrs). From there, we will begin our journey through the beautiful south of Chile until we enter Torres del Paine National Park, which means “Blue” in the Tehuelche language, referring to the predominant color.
Once in the Park, we will make several stops, both with and without getting out of the vehicle, to admire lakes and waterfalls, and we may even spot foxes, guanacos, and perhaps pumas, among other native animals. Aboard our vehicles, we will visit strategic points, from where we will embark on hikes that allow us to access panoramic viewpoints of the Park’s most important natural attractions.
Leaving the Cerro Castillo border, we will take the road to Laguna Amarga, a panoramic viewpoint of Las Torres del Paine. We will continue on board the vehicle, stopping at various viewpoints such as Laguna de los Cisnes and Mirador Superior del Nordenskjold until we reach Puerto Pudeto, the starting point for Salto Grande. If the weather is suitable, we will walk along the shore of Lake Pehoe to the lower Cuernos del Paine viewpoint.
The hike is of low difficulty and minimal physical demand, always accompanied by our CONAF Chile-certified trekking guide.
After this hike, you will continue by vehicle to another viewpoint, this time near Lake Pehoe, from where you will have one of the most famous views of the National Park, with the Cuernos del Paine and the Valle del Francés in the background, framed by Lakes Pehoe and Nordenskjold. From there, you will also see Mount Paine Grande and Almirante Nieto.
From this point, you will return to El Calafate, arriving at the hotels around 10:00 PM.
