Tierra del Fuego National Park is located 12 kilometers away from Ushuaia City. Is the only National Park in Argentina that has mountains, sea and forest all in the same natural reserve.
We start the tour driving westwards through number 3 National Route along Pipo River valley until we reach the train station. This was one of the areas where the inmates of the old Ushuaia prison used to work.
After a visiting the facilities, we will depart in the convoy that will take us along part of the original train track.
During the tour we will cross bridges and peat bogs. We will stop at La Macarena waterfall to appreciate the beautiful landscape. After a few minutes will board the train once more to get into Tierra del Fuego National Park. We will see the place where Lombardich sawmill was located before ending the ride at the Park Station where our guide and driver will be waiting for us.
We will continue visiting Tierra del Fuego National Park doing some stops at the main highlights such as Acigami Lake and Lapataia Bay (where No. 3 national route, part of the Pan-American Highway, ends). At each site we will take short walks to appreciate the flora and fauna protected by the southernmost National Park of Argentina.
